ABA Therapy, Personalized For
Your Child
Camino is a New Mexico based ABA Therapy provider. We believe that when science and compassion come together great outcomes are achieved.

About Camino Behavioral Health
Camino provides personalized ABA therapy for children and teens with autism. We are a New Mexico based ABA provider that believes that successful outcomes become possible when science and compassion meet . Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is a scientific discipline that focuses on analyzing, designing, and implementing meaningful changes in behavior, under the direction and supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Using direct observation, measurement, and functional assessments, we’re able to determine the environmental variables affecting each child’s behavior. This allows us to create personalized plans designed to improve key areas like language and communication, socialization, independent living skills, and more. Depending on each child’s unique goals, treatment may focus on language development, motor skills, play, perceptual skills, pre-academic skills, daily living skills, and reducing behaviors that pose challenges.
HOW WE HELP

Functional Behavior Assessment
A functional behavior assessment is a procedure used to determine the function of a child's behavior. Findings from the functional assessment are used to develop your child's unique behavior intervention plan.

Center-Based Treatment
Our clinics are designed to provide our clients a safe and fun environment to maximize learning of new skills and engage with social interactions with our peers.

Parent & Family Training
Parent training can help parents learn about effective ways to improve their child’s skills, manage challenging behaviors, and support their child’s growth and development.

Social Skills Groups
Our social skills groups focus on appropriate social behavior as it relates to an ever changing environment, peer play, communication, social reciprocity, social relatedness, perspective taking, problem solving, emotions, flexibility, and much more.

Behavior Interventions
Behavior Interventions are the cornerstone of ABA Therapy. Behaviors Interventions are developed by BCBAs (board certified behavior analysts) and utilize evidence-based practices to build skills, while reducing challenging behaviors.

OT/ Speech
Camino partners with local OT and speech therapists to provide OT and speech therapy to the children at our treatment center. This offers families all three comprehensive services all in one place.
Getting Started Is Easy
A local member of our team works with you to find the service option that best fits the needs of your child. We are here to help you every step of the way.
Our Autism Treatment Model
At Camino, there are three main components to our service: assessment, treatment and parent training. This comprehensive program is designed to provide the best opportunities for your child to thrive.
Our process begins with an assessment by a BCBA, specialized in autism care, to learn about your child’s unique talents and specific challenges. We also interview family as a whole, so we can better understand your situation and your goals. From there, our qualified team will create a personalized program designed to help your child build a foundation of essential skills that help lead them to living independent lives at their full potential.

Assessments
Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) conduct a two-part initial ABA assessment to establish a child’s current developmental profile and initial behavioral targets for treatment. The first part of the assessment involves a clinical interview with the parents. The second part of the assessment involves one-on-one observation and interaction with your child. The results of these assessments are utilized to develop a comprehensive and individualized plan for ABA treatment.
Applied Behavior Analysis Autism Care Therapist
Camino started with the goal of ensuring access to needed autism therapy to all New Mexicans. This includes both in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy, access to a telehealth autism care therapist, and in-school support.
We’re committed to the progress of every individual with autism we serve, and we strive to ensure each can access the services they need. With an individual assessment and behavior treatment plan, we help each child address their particular challenges and progress at their own pace.
